The chapel where the heart of Hovhannes Tumanyan is stored, located in the village of Dsegh (Lori region) – in the courtyard of the Tumanyan House-Museum. When the poet’s body was exhumed, his son Areg secretly took his father’s heart and took it back home to Tbilisi in a vial of formalin. The heart was then transported to Dsegh and buried in the chapel built at the courtyard of the house-museum.
